Over the weekend I enjoyed one of my very favourite bushwalks.Sitting on a rock, gazing out over the Hawkesbury river and beyond, it was so peaceful and beautiful; I wanted to hold onto the moment.
Special and happy times in life, I had wished would never end, started to come to mind, then so did these gentle words from the poet William Blake:
He who binds himself to a joy,
Does the winged life destroy;
But he who kisses joy as it flies,
Lives in eternity’s sunrise.
