i will greet this day with love in my heart...

A warm hello.
I posted this beautiful quote from Og Mandino a long time ago.
It is such a lovely one, one of my very favourites, I thought you might enjoy it again.
“I will greet this day with love in my heart.
And how will I do this?
Henceforth, I will look on all things with love and I will be born again.
I will love the sun for it warms my bones, yet I will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit.
I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars.
I will welcome happiness for it enlarges my heart, yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul.”
Wishing you joy,
Karen

the solstice...

A warm hello.
The solstice can be a time of extremes and this week, as the Sun, then Mercury and the New Moon join Mars in Cancer; the vibe will be emotional.
Simmering issues and prickly differences will need gentle defusing and we’ll need to avoid the tendency to be oversensitive, defensive or to over-react.
Positively, there’ll be a powerful creative energy; it will take clear purpose to channel this into plans, goals and matters we feel passionately about but there should be exciting results.
Wishing you joy,
Karen

tides in a teacup...

A warm hello.

When I was discussing astrology with one of my colleagues recently, he confided that he’d always been very sceptical until this was pointed out to him:

The Sun and Moon together exert a powerful magnetic force on water – it pulls great oceans to create the tides.   When you consider that the human body is largely water, he could understand how these energies might have a significant influence on us.

I would like to add a little story:
In a wonderful book, Supernature, that I read years ago, it describes an experiment that was done at the Hugh’s Aircraft Laboratories in California -

They decided to test the Moon’s influence on small bodies of water.

They didn’t choose a lake, a swimming pool, a bath – they chose a tea cup!

They measured, with very fine sensitive instruments, tides in a teacup!

Isn’t that amazing?
Wishing you joy,
Karen
